State of Dutch Tech 2022

The Hague, Netherlands

Christina Caljé served as moderator and chair for the 2022 IGNITE Techleap.nl Summit on 10 Feb 2022. Through a visual journey of statistical insights, Christina summarized 'The State of Dutch Tech' for a digital audience of 3.000+, presenting a detailed overview of what 2021 brought to Dutch tech and framing how the Netherlands startup ecosystem can maximise opportunities in 2022.

To put these insights into context, Christina brought together Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau (Prince of the Netherlands and Special Envoy at Techleap.nl), Janneke Niessen (Co-founder at Capital T) and Derk Arts (Co-founder and CEO at Castor) for a discussion about how the ecosystem can work together on addressing bottlenecks through policies, awareness and connections, so that The Netherlands can cement its position at the forefront of technology innovation.

Following this plenary discussion, the event broke out into panels with industry thought leaders to dive into key topics:
- Dutch LPs: Why funding tech is worth the risk
- Funding unicorns; Winning the best deals
- Scaling Deeptech: Repeat entrepreneurs driving technology to impact
- Employee ownership: How to recruit and retain the best talent

Christina also moderated the panel discussion on employee ownership, with Frederik Mijnhardt (Co-founder and CEO at SecFi), Janneke Niessen and Derk Arts.
